How to Give God Thanks in Everything

Give Thanks for Tomorrow!

In everything give thanks. Give thanks for yesterday, today and tomorrow. Give thanks for happened yesterday. Give thanks for what happens today. But also give thanks for what will happen tomorrow. Give thanks for what will happen in your future. How you ask. How do I give thanks for the future when I don’t know for sure what will happen? You absolutely can give thanks for your future. It is easier than you would expect. It is found in the Bible, God’s Word. Your future is described in the Bible!

Take a look at just one familiar place in the Bible that describes your future, John 3:16.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Eternal life = the future
Is eternal life in the future? Yes. Eternal life is your future dear believer. Have you been thanking God for eternal life? Thank God for your future. Thank God for your eternal life. Thank God that when your physical body stops breathing, your spirit has everlasting life. Thank God that if you die today, you will leave this earth but your spirit remains alive!

In everything give thanks. Thank God for yesterday, today and tomorrow! Don’t tell me you cannot predict the future, because if you die tomorrow and you choose to believe in Jesus you know your future is eternal life. Your tomorrow is everlasting life. One hundred years from now you will be in eternal life. Actually the moment you accept Christ as the Son of God your eternal life begins, your spirit begins eternal life. That is what we call being “born again.”

Look at John 3:3, Jesus tells Nicodemus (a Jewish leader), “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” What does Nicodemus ask Jesus next? “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” (John 3:4) Many people probably consider that a silly question coming from this Jewish leader. I don’t. If one does not understand that a person is more than just a physical being, it is a reasonable question. If you don’t consider that you are both a spiritual being and a physical being, how could you understand being born again?

Nicodemus is correct: we cannot enter our mother’s womb to be born a second time. We cannot be born again physically.

Jesus says it like this.
John 3:5,6
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

The term “born again” means when the Spirit of God gives birth to the spirit in you. This is eternal life. Your physical self cannot have eternal life, only your spirit can have it. Once the Spirit gives birth to spirit in your body, you are born again!

How do you receive the spirit and be born again? It is simple. When you choose to believe that Jesus is the one and only Son of God, you are then born again thus receiving eternal life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For anyone out there today uncertain if you have been born again, unsure if you have everlasting life, please follow me in this prayer if you want to believe.

Dear Father God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth,
Your Word states clearly that you so loved the world you gave your one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Therefore Father we choose to believe in “him.” We believe that you sent your one and only Son so that we may have everlasting life. We now are born again! We are born of the Spirit with eternal life. We will not perish. Thank you Father God for this new birth in the Spirit. Forgive us of our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Let us give thanks for this eternal life.
In Jesus Name,
Amen

If you said that prayer to God and meant it in your heart, you now have eternal life! As of this very moment you have everlasting life! That is so amazing! Isn’t it? Congratulations!

In everything give thanks. Give thanks for yesterday, today and tomorrow. This week give thanks for tomorrow, starting with giving thanks for your eternal life.

What does eternal life involve?
1. I can see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3 says: Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” If no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again, then that means you can see the kingdom of God when you are born again!
2. I can enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:5,6 says: Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.  Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. If no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit, then that means you can enter the kingdom of God if you are born of water and the spirit.

This week lovely ladies thank God for tomorrow. Thank God that you have been born again. Thank Him that you can see the kingdom of God. Thank Him that you can enter the kingdom of God. Thank Him for eternal life. Now that is something to celebrate!

This is only one of the many things God has promised for our future. We will look at other things to thank God for regarding our future in other studies. I find it extremely rewarding to give thanks in tomorrow and the future. Talk about inspiring hope in your day – giving thanks in your future will certainly do just that.
