John 14:27 (NKJV)
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus tells us that He gives us HIS peace. When trouble comes don't seek your own peace. It is difficult to find peace in the midst of anxiety, worry and any number of emotions that flood you when trouble comes. So don't seek your peace, seek the peace of Jesus. His peace will set us free. Call on him, read the Word, listen to praise music... Do whatever it takes to seek His peace and not your own. It works. Jesus said, "My peace I give to you."
