Then? When is Then?

Jeremiah 29:12 (NIV)
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Then? When is then?

What is God saying here in Jeremiah 29:12? It begins with the word "then." Then you will call upon me.

When is then? Well let's simply back up to Jeremiah 29:11.

11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Then is when you know that God has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Yes we have prayed prior to learning Jeremiah 29:11, and we knew that God was listening. But now we have a new understanding of God's plans for us after meditating on this verse. Our "then" is now, today.

Then I will call upon God. Then after I understand and know without a doubt that God has plans for me, I will call upon Him. We are entering a new place. God declares to each of us that He knows the plans that He has for us, and they are good plans of success, of hope and a future. They are not plans of harm.

So now we will come to Him and call upon Him knowing this. "Then" is here for us. I love it! My "then" is here.

Then I will call upon Him. When I call upon Him now, it will be more. It will be expecting more, knowing more and enjoying more.
